The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday confirmed that two more persons from Region Four who were infected with COVID-19 have died.

According to a statement issued by the MoH, the two latest fatalities are a 77year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, who both died while receiving care at a state medical facility.

There have been a total of 46 COVID19 related deaths during this month, with 20 being reported during the past week. The death toll now stands at 444.

Meanwhile, according to the COVID19 dashboard released yesterday, 136 new cases have been confirmed. Of that number, 82 of those cases are from Region Nine, 30 from Region Four, 8 from Region Three, 6 from Region Ten, 5 from Region Six, 3 from Region Seven and 2 from Region One. The new cases were confirmed from 892 tests that were done yesterday.

The dashboard also showed that there were 21 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 108 in institutional isolation, 1,353 in home isolation and 2 persons in institutional quarantine. A total of 175,589 tests were administered to date and 17,047 persons who were infected with COVID-19 have recovered to date.

Based on the dashboard from last Sunday to yesterday, 670 new cases have been confirmed from 7,305 tests that were done.
