Defending Champs whips 8th of May 2-0

Defending champion Christianburg/Wismar, Berbice Educational Trust, President’s College and New Amsterdam Multilateral recorded wins when the 9th Milo Secondary Schools U18 football championships resumed yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.

New Amsterdam downed St. Stanislaus 2-1. Keemane Spellen bagged a double in the 36th and 47th minute. On target in the loss was Joel King in the 42nd minute.

Wismar/Christianburg overcame 8 of May 2-0. Amani King and Kemani Sears scored in the 50th and 70th minute respectively.

Berbice Educational Trust defeated St. Cuthbert’s 3-1. T’Jon Reid recorded a brace in the 16th and 38th minute while Carlo Campbell added to the score in the 35th minute. For the losers, Ronaldo

Rodriguez netted in the 49th minute.

President’s College downed North Ruimveldt 2-0. Jude Andrews and Michael Joseph scored in the 11th and 68th minute respectively.

On the other hand, New Central bested Annandale 3-2.

The event will continue today at the same venue with another round of matches. At 11:00hrs, Marian Academy will oppose Bush Lot whilst Charity will tackle West Minster from 12:45hrs.

In the third fixture, Ann’s Grove will engage Vergenoegen from 14:00hrs, with Cummings Lodge opposing Charlestown at 15:45hrs in the final fixture.
