An 82-year-old woman of Region Seven is the latest COVID-19 fatality.

It was said that the unvaccinated woman died on August 11th at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal. The country’s death toll from the pandemic is 1,276.

Additionally, 142 new cases were recorded by the Ministry of Health after 859 COVID tests were conducted.

The new cases were recorded from Region Two with 1 case, Region Three 5, Region Four 16, Region Six 114, Region Seven 2, Region Eight 1 and Region Ten with 3 new cases.

The COVID test positivity rate for yesterday has been calculated as 17%.

The updated dashboard states that 2 persons are in the COVID ICU, while 14 are in institutional isolation and 464 in home isolation.
