League leader and undefeated outfit, Slingerz FC, crushed Wales 5-0, when the West Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League continued last evening at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.

The contest was essentially over at the halftime interval, following a commanding 3-0 lead for the Vergenoegen-based unit. Dexroy Adams opened the scoring with a powerful 20th minute strike, before two goals in the space of three minutes from Delon Lanferman effectively sealed the contest.

Lanferman made his presence felt in the 29th minute to make it 2-0, before uncorking a thunderous strike into the back of the net in the 32nd minute to complete his brace and further strengthen his side’s position.

Following the resumption of play, Ricardo Halley eventually got into the scoring act with a finish into the far corner in the 78th minute. The result was then sealed in the 84th minute following an own goal.
