Nicholas Salchan, 29, a vendor of Lot 71 Back Street, Peters Hall, East Bank Demerara was remanded to prison on Friday on a charge of trafficking 44,700 grammes of cannabis.

The police said that he appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court #1 before Senior Magistrate, Sunil Scarce and pleaded not guilty.

His case will come up again on November 30th.
